Key Ingredients of the Honey Lemon Ginger Drink
Ideally, your lemon ginger honey tea should employ graded ginger complemented with fresh lemon that doubles up as a natural sweetener. It's not only an invigorating beverage, but also quite healthy and revitalizing as well. The calming and relaxing effect that you get after sipping ginger lemon and honey tea is just an added bonus to the overall boost that the drink imparts to your immune system, as this ingredient list reveals.
1. Lemon
Lemon packs an array of useful health benefits, in addition to being the sweetener in this beverage. For starters, it promotes hydration and flushes toxins from your system. Secondly, it's an open secret that lemon is a reliable source of vitamin C, one of the most important antioxidants that aid in protecting your cells from the injurious nature of free radicals that are perpetually floating around. Thirdly, regular intake of vitamin C lowers your chances of developing a number of serious health problems, particularly those centered around your blood pressure.
2. Ginger
Apart from promoting healthy weight loss, ginger is also loaded with key antioxidants that ward off premature aging and its associated symptoms. Additionally, ginger also relieves indigestion while also helping improve the severity of dyspepsia. Which, of course, makes this lemon honey water recipe the perfect artillery to beat bloating, stomach discomfort, and gas.
3. Honey
Aside from improving your cardiovascular health and providing calorie-free immune support, this nectar syrup is also the mainstay for a variety of nutrients and polyphenols. These are antioxidants that can help in preventing and reversing the damage done by ROS (reactive oxygen species) in your system.
4. Wellabs Turmeric Curcumin with Ginger
While the above ingredients are proven sources of a huge range of naturally-occuring vitamins and nutrients, it goes without saying that you may need to bolster them with a more standardized version of antioxidants. This way, you can keep track of the least amount of curcumin and gingerol you are getting every time you whip up a mug of ginger lemon and honey tea.
